Comments:
While I am thrilled that OU jumped over Texas, I can't help but feel for them. If the roles were reversed, Sooner Nation would be screaming bloody murder. Give us a playoff - put everyone into 13 (ten to twelve team conferences).I think there were around 130 division I football teams. Conference champions get automatic bid plus 3 at large bids for conferences like Big 12 and SEC with more than one legitimate title contenders. 16 team playoff - everyone else can go play in the regular bowl season. Division I football is the only major sport in America without some type of playoff system. I am tired of hearing - "It's not the best thing for college football". In reality, it is the only (fair) thing. It is only a matter of time before OU gets screwed by this flawed system.
