Few tickets remain for OU vs. Cincinnati
Less than 100 tickets remain for OU vs. Cincinnati: Saturday's football game vs. Cincinnati is nearing a sellout with only approximately 100 tickets still available for purchase. The remaining tickets were returned by the Bearcats and are expected to go quickly. This is the only remaining opportunity to see the Sooners live in action this season as all other games are sold out. Tickets are $62 each. Kickoff for the game is set for 2:30 p.m. at Owen Field. Tickets are available online at SoonerSports.com or by calling (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-GoOU. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the OU Athletics Ticket Office located under the Asp Avenue parking garage immediately west of the stadium. (SoonerSports PR)
Deep snapper Shaw to return soon? Stoops indicated Tuesday that last season's starting deep snapper, Derek Shaw, is close to returning from an Achilles injury. "He's better and better," Stoops said. "He's running faster and stronger now, and the whole thing is he's got to be able to cover to some degree. Not that he was our leading tackler on it, but he needs to get in someone's way. He's real close, so we'll just see as we go through the week." (The Oklahoman)
Center Jon Cooper on Bradford's improvements: "The most progress I've seen is him being a leader, and taking control of the offense completely," Cooper said. "That's what a quarterback should do. Last year, as a freshman, he was kind of quiet. He's not as quiet any more." (Star-Telegram)
