Stoops not paying attention to rankings: For now, Sooner coach Bob Stoops isn't paying much attention. "In the end, it's a long year," he said. "All we can focus on is being the absolute best we can be each time we play. "(The ranking) really doesn't do anything to us right now. We have so many more games to play." As the season evolves, Stoops said, the rankings become more relevant. "It's a long way to earn your way to something like that," he said. "That's what our focus will be on, earning it. Earn it each week and not get ahead of yourself." (The Oklahoman)
