Sooners No. 1 in Playboy's Pigskin Preview
Coach Stoops watches the Olympics like the rest of us: While former OU gymnast Jonathan Horton was leading the USA to a bronze medal, coach Bob Stoops was tuned in at home Monday night, cheering on a fellow Sooner. "Jonathan Horton was absolutely amazing last night, wasn't he?" Stoops said. "Loved it. And what a leader. I was really proud watching him. I thought he was fabulous." Stoops said he's a fan of the Olympics, appreciating all that goes into making that grand stage and then responding to it. "All of them, I like watching all of it," Stoops said. "What's so neat about it is you get that one moment to be at your best. That's what I love about boxing as well. "You get that one shot. And if you happen to have over-trained, or you don't hit it just right..."(The Oklahoman)
