MLB Mike Reed off the team? OU linebacker Mike Reed is no longer listed on the Sooners' online roster. No official announcement has been made that Reed is off the team, although a clarification could be coming Tuesday, when Stoops is expected to meet with reporters. Last year, Reed arrived in Norman as a five-star junior-college recruit, but never made an impact on the field and was passed on the depth chart by Curtis Lofton, who eventually became the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. UPDATE: Confirmed: The OU sports information office confirmed Monday morning that Reed is no longer on the Sooner football team. The junior-college middle linebacker came to Norman with much fanfare as the top prospect out of the 2007 recruiting class. (The Oklahoman)
