OU Spring Football Info: OU opens spring drills on March 5. The Sooners also practice March 7, March 10 and March 12 before taking off for spring break. The Red / White Game is scheduled for April 12. A handful of Sooners recovering from various injuries won't be participating this spring, coach Bob Stoops said. They include running back Chris Brown (minor knee surgery), defensive end Auston English (minor shoulder surgery), wide receiver Adron Tennell (ACL surgery) and running back DeMarco Murray (patellar tendon surgery).
