Allen Patrick Injury Status; Stoops Statement on Mitchell
Malcolm Kelly early NFL entry? While he [Malcolm Kelly] admits he thinks about his future from time to time, he knows it's too early for all that [high draft] hype. "I'm not gonna say I don't think about it," Kelly said. "That's all you dream about your whole life. That's why you play this game -- to be able to make a living out of it. People have been saying that, but it don't really mean anything. I haven't done anything this year. "I have a lot of stuff I need to get done (before I'm ready to play in the NFL.)" (NewsOK.com)
Patrick runs light Monday practice, no timetable set: [Allen] Patrick did not practice with the team Monday. Stoops said there's no cut-off day for deciding if Patrick will play. "If we think he's close enough to full speed and not going to re-injure it and make a difference for us, then he'll play," Stoops said. (Norman Transcript)
Bob Stoops statement on Herman Mitchell: From the Tulsa World.. "Yeah, it's really sad. It's tragic," Stoops said. "All of us are saddened. Just don't know what to say in those situations. He was a great young guy, was just up here a few weeks ago when we were in our summer two-a-day work. He and his mom spent a good part of the day here. We loved having him. He was a great young man. Prayers go out to his family, his teammates, coaches and friends. It's just really, really tragic for any young guy and anyone in that circumstance."
