Athlon Sports ranks OU seventh in preseason rankings: Athlon Sports has the Sooners at No. 7 in a daily online countdown of its top 25. The top six teams haven't been released. The Sooners have four players on Athlon's All-Big 12 first team -- punt returner Reggie Smith, receiver Malcolm Kelly, offensive lineman Duke Robinson and kicker Garrett Hartley. Two Oklahoma opponents are in Athlon's rankings thus far. Athlon ranks Miami (Fla.) at No. 24. The Sooners host Miami on Sept. 8. Texas A&M is ranked No. 23. OU hosts the Aggies Nov. 3. (Tulsa World)
