Oklahoma Sooner Football Articles and Notes

Oklahoma Alumni Association and the Fiesta Bowl:
When the Oklahoma Sooners head to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, you can join the OU Alumni Association and the Sooner Club on New Years Day in Glendale, Arizona. The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl will be played on Monday, Jan. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium, with kickoff set for 7:45 p.m. CST. Boise State was announced as OU's opponent in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl as part of Sunday night's BCS announcement show on Fox. When you travel with other Sooner fans on this Official OU Alumni Fiesta Bowl Tour, you can forget about all the hassle. You'll stay at a deluxe hotel, rally at the famed Boomer Bash Pre-Game, enjoy all the amenities and privileges from traveling on the Official Tour, and so much more. The Official OU Alumni Fiesta Bowl tour does NOT include a game ticket. If you need tickets for the game, call the OU Ticket Office direct at 405-325-2424. The Athletics Ticket Office has special office hours on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. for walk-up and phone sales. Tickets for the Fiesta Bowl are $135. (More at SoonerSports.com)

Boise States's Peterson on facing OU: From the Norman Transcript, "This is something we've been scratching and clawing for the last five or six years," Boise State coach Chris Peterson said. "For us to get a chance to even compete on the same field with Oklahoma is going to be an awesome challenge and hopefully a lot of fun as well."
