(8/8) Sooners Drop 10 spots in Sportline Poll, New Title for Wilson and Articles
Oklahoma Sooner Football Articles and Notes
Sooners fall 10 spots in CBS Sportsline poll: SportLine.com's Dennis Dodd ranks the Nation's top 25 teams, after a summer for the teams to settle.. The Oklahoma Sooners fell ten spots, after an unsettled early August to15th in the late preseason poll.
Another job title for Wilson: Chris Wilson, OU's defensive ends coach the past two years, has added special teams coordinator to his job title. That's a position that has been passed around among OU's staff since Jonathan Hayes left the Sooners to coach tight ends with the Cincinnati Bengals three years ago. Wilson's task will be to re-ignite OU's special teams. The Sooners ranked 11th in the Big 12 Conference in both kickoff and punt returns last year, when they didn't return a kick for a touchdown for the first time under coach Bob Stoops. (Tulsa World)
