(8/2) Stoops visits NFL Camp, and OU fall practice schedule

Coach Stoops and staff visit Bronchos' practice: Bob Stoops and the coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma (visited) today. Maybe I couldn't pick out (Josh) Hartnett in a lineup, but I'd know the Sooners boss and former defensive coordinator extraordinaire at the University of Florida anywhere. Stoops and Head Coach Mike Shanahan share some significant commonalities on their resume', even though each first made their names on opposite sides of the football. Shanahan spent time at OU in the 1970s working under Barry Switzer as a graduate assistant and later moved on to Florida as an offensive coordinator. Shanahan and Stoops have never been on the same staff concurrently ... "(But) I feel like we have," Stoops said. "Coach Switzer always talks about Coach Shanahan and what a great guy he was when he was with him." (DenverBronchos.com)
