UPDATE: Trouble at linemen again: Oklahoma Sooners continue to have trouble with offensive linemen this season, another incident occurred Wednesday. Red-shirt freshman offensive tackle J. D. Quinn of Garland, TX, was ticketed by Norman police and charged with one count person under 21 operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating beverages. Thursday evening University of Oklahoma Football program had no comment, and said situation will be handled internally. This is the second incident this season, that an University of Oklahoma Football player has been ticketed for under age drinking. (GNEXTINC.com) UPDATE: Oklahoma offensive lineman J.D. Quinn was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence-under age 21. Quinn, 19, was detained by Norman police after a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. According to a police affidavit, Quinn was stopped in the 800 block of Beaumont after he was observed speeding in a 25 mile-per-hour zone, then failing to stop at a stop sign. The officer wrote he detected alcohol on Quinn's breath, and wrote in the affidavit Quinn "admitted to drinking a six pack of beer." The affidavit stated Quinn submitted to a breathalyzer test, which measured his blood alcohol content at .03 and .04. To be charged with DUI-under 21, a person must register .02 or higher. (NewsOK.com) UPDATE 2: No word on Quinn: Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops declined comment Monday on the status of offensive lineman J.D. Quinn, who was arrested last week and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence-under 21. Stoops said any disciplinary measures would be handled internally. Quinn, 19, a redshirt freshman who has started the last four games at right guard, practiced with the first team Monday and is currently listed as the starter, according to co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson. It was Quinn's second alcohol-related arrest in 19 months. (NewsOK.com)
