Sooners and Red Raiders kick-off time set: Oklahoma's string of consecutive football games televised will reach 40 by season's end. The only remaining game yet to be picked up for this season was taken today when Fox Sports Net announced it would carry the Sooners' Nov. 19 game at Texas Tech. FSN will carry the OU-Tech game from Lubbock with an 11 a.m., kickoff from Jones Stadium. ABC has taken this week's game against Texas A&M and the Nov. 26 game vs. Oklahoma State. (Sooner Sports PR)
UPDATE: Trouble at linemen again: Oklahoma Sooners continue to have trouble with offensive linemen this season, another incident occurred Wednesday. Red-shirt freshman offensive tackle J. D. Quinn of Garland, TX, was ticketed by Norman police and charged with one count person under 21 operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating beverages. Thursday evening University of Oklahoma Football program had no comment, and said situation will be handled internally. This is the second incident this season, that an University of Oklahoma Football player has been ticketed for under age drinking. (GNEXTINC.com) UPDATE: Oklahoma offensive lineman J.D. Quinn was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence-under age 21. Quinn, 19, was detained by Norman police after a traffic stop just before 1 a.m. According to a police affidavit, Quinn was stopped in the 800 block of Beaumont after he was observed speeding in a 25 mile-per-hour zone, then failing to stop at a stop sign. The officer wrote he detected alcohol on Quinn's breath, and wrote in the affidavit Quinn "admitted to drinking a six pack of beer." The affidavit stated Quinn submitted to a breathalyzer test, which measured his blood alcohol content at .03 and .04. To be charged with DUI-under 21, a person must register .02 or higher. Quinn, who was arrested last week and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence-under 21. Stoops said any disciplinary measures would be handled internally. Quinn, 19, a redshirt freshman who has started the last four games at right guard, practiced with the first team Monday and is currently listed as the starter, according to co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson.
