Dvoracek honored: Defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 team. It''s the third time in his career to earn the honor. The senior, whose 15 tackles for loss lead the nation for defensive linemen, has a 3.35 cumulative GPA in management and is on course to graduate in December. "We couldn't be more proud of Dusty," OU coach Bob Stoops said. "He has dedicated himself to doing the right things. He is a great player, an outstanding student and important leader on our team." Big XII team of the decade: Oklahoma placed the most players - six - on the Big 12's 10th anniversary football team released Thursday. The team was selected by a media panel and online fan poll. Candidates had to have been an All-Big 12 first-team selection. Honoring our Veterans: OU will celebrate Veteran's Day at Saturday's game with Texas A&M at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. At the conclusion of the national anthem, four AT-38 Talons will fly by in formation to honor our country's veterans. Both teams' bands will perform a salute to the veterans at the half, accompanied by images of Sooner fans currently overseas being displayed on SoonerVision. (NewsOK.com)
Tickets still available for Saturday's game: The Oklahoma ticket office has a limited number of tickets available for Saturday's game vs. Texas A&M. Tickets will be available for purchase at 8 a.m. today by calling 800-456-4668 or 405-325-2424 or in person at the OU athletics ticket office. Tickets will also be available online at SoonerSports.com. Tickets are $62 each and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Saturday's game will be televised regionally on ABC Sports.
