(10/22) Oklahoma Celebrates Homecoming, Baylor respects OU talent and gameday articles
Oklahoma Football Notes and Articles
Baylor respects OU talent: The Sooners (3-3, 2-1 Big 12) have won all 14 meetings against the Bears (4-2, 1-2). But this is, without question, the closest Baylor has been to OU's level in years. "I have a lot of respect for Oklahoma and their talent," Morriss said. "They are kind of a sleeping giant right now, especially offensively. They've got the talent; they just haven't put it together yet." OU's best offensive player, running back Adrian Peterson, should dress. It's unclear if he will actually get more than a handful of carries, though, if any. His status is a game-time decision. (Dallas Morning News)
Oklahoma Homecoming: Oklahoma celebrates homecoming when Baylor visits Owen Field on Saturday. The game is scheduled to kick shortly after 6 p.m. and will be televised by Fox Sports Net. The broadcast will mark the 36th consecutive game that Oklahoma has played on TV. The streak will extend to 37 straight after ABC announced that the network will show the Nebraska game on Oct. 29 in Lincoln. The Sooners, playing at home for the first time since Oct. 1, hope to string together their first back-to-back victories of the season after last week’s 19-3 triumph over Kansas at Kansas City.
