(10/17) Joesph looks OK, OU Officials to hand out Evacuation plans and Sooner Articles
Oklahoma Football Notes and Articles
Joesph looks OK: Oklahoma senior offensive lineman Davin Joseph suffered a neck injury Saturday against Kansas. The All-America candidate didn't play the second half, but the injury does not appear serious. "Everything to this point is checking out OK, so hopefully it isn't too much," OU coach Bob Stoops said Sunday of the injury. "I'm guessing (Joseph) should be ready to go this week." Senior receiver Travis Wilson and senior defensive back Eric Bassey -- both starters -- missed Saturday's game. Wilson has an ankle injury, and Bassey has an injured quad muscle. Sophomore defensive back Marcus Walker has been hampered by a knee injury suffered in practice before the Texas game. (NewsOK.com)
OU officials to hand out Evacuation plans at Saturday's game: OU officials will be handing out more than programs at Saturday's home football game. University president David Boren said fans will also get an evacuation plan when they walk in the gates to see the Sooners play Baylor. The move is in reaction to the explosion outside the stadium just over two weeks ago. Joel Hinrichs III died after police said he set off a bomb in an act of suicide, as he sat on a bench next to George Lynn Cross Hall. (Channel Oklahoma.com)
