White Signs With Titians: Quarterback Jason White won a Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma. He guided the Sooners to two national championship games, and won just about every other award imaginable. Yet before he agreed to terms with the Titans on a contract yesterday, he said he was seriously considering walking away from football altogether. ''I definitely thought about giving it up,'' White told The Tennessean last night. ''It is not a fact of whether I could play or not, more than anything it is I have a family. I have a 2½-year old daughter and they need food on the table themselves. It is more of I have other things I have to provide for and I can't spend my whole life chasing a dream that may never be there.'' (The Tennessean)
