Officer Testifies: The defense attorney for former Nebraska football player Darren DeLone suggested Monday that University of Oklahoma police officers "jumped to the conclusion" a member of OU's spirit squad was a victim of an assault. Garvin Isaacs questioned Officer Mike Robinson about "interfernces" he made to RUF/NEKS member Adam Merritt, 19, shortly after Merritt was injured prior to the Cornhuskers' game with the Sooners on Nov. 13. Inferences that an assault had occurred "colored" Merritt's view of what had happened to him, the attorney said. (NewsOK)
