Oklahoma Lands JUCO Punter: He turned down one brother for another. But for Mike Knall, the decision to attend Oklahoma was easy. Knall, a junior college punter from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College, had committed to Arizona. But when OU came calling in late April, Knall's plans quickly changed. Knall signed a letter of intent to attend OU without setting foot on the campus. "I told Bob Stoops, 'I can imagine how beautiful it is,' " Knall said. "I've seen pictures. I'll commit right now.'" Knall will be a sophomore next season. He was qualified academically after graduation from Scottsdale Chaparral High School, but chose Scottsdale Community College when he didn't receive much interest from NCAA Division I schools. Knall, a 5-foot-10, 175-pounder, averaged 43.9 yards a punt as a freshman last season for the Fighting Artichokes (yes, that's really the mascot). (NewsOK)
