Wilson Joins Sooner Staff

Chris Wilson, defensive line coach at Colorado for the past five seasons, has been hired by Oklahoma to be the team's new defensive ends coach.
Wilson, a former Sooners linebacker and a two-time team captain, will fill the position vacated when defensive coordinator Bo Pelini left for Louisiana State. Wilson, 36, previously coached at Army and Illinois State.
"Chris has been a tremendous asset to the University of Colorado and its football program," CU head coach Gary Barnett said Tuesday. "The University of Oklahoma is getting a tremendous father, coach and person. We wish him well and hope to see him in the (Big 12) championship game." Wilson joins Cale Gundy and Jackie Shipp as former Sooner players on the OU coaching staff.
