Opening Night this Friday for Outlaw Motor Speedway

OKTAHA, Okla. -- It's finally here, after egger anticipation over the winter months, Outlaw Motor Speedway will kick off the Danny Womack promoted era this Friday night March 21st. Bringing Friday night racing back to the Muskogee area, Womack's era will kick off with a Modified $750 to win and $100 to start. Pure Stock, Hobby Stock and Economy Modified will race for normal payout but all get $100 to start the A-Feature, plus a chance to earn bonus money!

The Sports Animal of Tulsa (97.1 FM) will be at the race track for a live broadcast of the races and Love Bottling is bringing in the NOS Energy Drink NASCAR Simulator with samples of NOS Energy Drink throughout the night.

This Friday also marks the first of many joint ventures with West Siloam Speedway as drivers can race the next night March 22nd at West Siloam Speedway for a chance to earn bonus money.

Here is how the bonus money works - The top three averages in each division over the two race nights will get a $300, $200 and $100 bonus respectively. For example, if driver races at OMS on Friday night and then race at WSS Saturday March 22nd, we will take the combined average finish. The top three drivers with the best averages over the two nights gain a $300, $200 or $100 bonus. A driver doesn't necessary need to win or even finish in the top three to win the bonus money, just have the best average over the two nights and BINGO, you just earned some extra CASH!

Races begin at 8:00pm, Hot Laps at 7:15pm, Pit Gate opens at 5:30pm and Grandstand Gates will open at 6:00pm.

Grandstand Ticket prices: Grandstand Admission - Adult - $10, Kids 6-12 $5, 5-under is Free, $25 Family Pack (2 adults, 2 kids), $30 Family Pack (2 adults, 4 kids), Senior Citizens 65-up $5. Note: All children must be accompanied by an adult to enter the races.

Pit Admission - Adult $30, Kids $20. ($3 from each adult pit pass will go into the points fund) Note: All children must be accompanied by an adult to enter the pits and must be accompanied by and adult at all time or they will be asked to leave.

1st POINTS RACE OF 2008 - March 28th will kick off the 2008 points season for Outlaw Motor Speedway. Some changes in store for the points battle is a "Chase for the Championship". The "Chase for the Championship" will begin August 15th as the top 10 in the point standings will start an eight race playoff format to crown the champion. The point leader as of August 15th will get a $300 bonus for leading up to that point. The format will consist of the top 10 in points will be staggered in five point differentials, with the leader having 50 points. The playoff races will be scored as normal point races.

MODIFIED $5K, $1,000 to START, $100 ENTRY APRIL 10-12th!

MODIFIED $5,000 TO WIN - Looking to break records once again, 2008 promoter Danny Womack has announced a Modified $5,000 to win, $1,000 to start race scheduled on April 10-12, 2008. This race will be a guaranteed purse with over $50,000 being paid out on the weekend. With a very low entry fee at only $100, over 100 Modified drivers are expected for this race weekend.

"This is an event that will kick off a heavy schedule and launch the new era of Outlaw Motor Speedway," said promoter Danny Womack. "This is going to be the race to see to open up the season and something we want to continue to do year after year. With some of the top Modified drivers coming to this race, the fans are in for one heck of a treat."

The weekend will begin with qualifying Thursday and Friday night with the last chance qualifying on Saturday then, 26 Modified starting the Main A-Feature on Saturday night. More information, the complete payscale and flier can be viewed at www.outlawmotorspeedway.com.

Sponsors for the weekend are: Love Bottling, NOS, Tonto Construction, Hooters of Tulsa and Budweiser.

Pure Stock, Hobby Stock and Economy Modified will race point on the weekend. Pure Stock and Hobby Stock will race Friday night with E-Mod racing on Saturday night.

Also on the weekend is the Annual Azalea Festival and Chili Cook off in Muskogee.

WALLACE & SCHRADER TO HIGHLIGHT RACE NIGHT

NASCAR IS COMING TO TOWN - The rumors are true. A pair of NASCAR drivers will be coming to Outlaw Motor Speedway Monday June 9, 2008. Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader will be bringing their Modifieds to race the 3/8th mille oval against anyone who thinks they can outrun NASCAR talent.

"This is one thing we want to do this year, is have events that have not been done at this track before," said Promoter Danny Womack. "With having two NASCAR drivers coming to our track, not only signing autographs for the fans but race against our drivers, that is something special."

The NASCAR pair will also have an autograph session prior to the races as well as their souvenir trailers.
