The long dispute between Bad Boy
mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, and former Bad Boy artist the
Lox was recently resolved. Styles P, Sheek Loch, and Jadakiss
have been in dispute for years, with former record
company Bad Boy Entertainment over publishing rights.
The Lox have claimed Bad Boy owned 50%, while Diddy
disputed it was only 20%.
In December 9, radio interview on the Angie Martinez
Show on Hot 97, members Styles P and Sheek
reappeared to to clear up any conflict. Saying,
both parties sat down 45 minutes to clear up any
"miscommunication." "What he did was sweet.
He came back [with his offer] and I almost jumped out my
seat," Styles P said to Angie Martinez. "Basically, he
gave us all our publishing back. He didn't have to do
what he did. In the business world, what he did, was
like a four-leaf clover. The results was great."
Styles continued, "What he did for us, he
didn't have to do. What he did for us was splendid. He
made it so much easier. He made our business beautiful."
After the November 17 on-air quarrel, Styles
talked with Combs "Before the [legal] meeting I spoke to
him over the phone. He said, 'I want to meet up, look
y'all in the eye and speak as men. The bottom line is we
can fix it,'" said Styles.
The conflict generated interest from fans, and
artist about how much artist know contractual agreements
they are signing. Styles saying, "I think
the problem with the whole game is artists don't stand
for themselves," he said.
