OUTLAW
MOTOR
SPEEDWAY,
SOUTH OF
MUSKOGEE –
With only
eight regular
nights of
racing left in
the season,
those in a
position to
catch the
current point
leaders in
each division
had better
make their
moves, and
soon.
This Friday
night is also
kids night and
back to school
night. All
kids 12-under
get in free
with a parent
or gardian. We
ask that
everyone bring
a school
supply to
dontate to
local schools
and that all
drivers bring
candy and
giveaways for
the kids.
None of the
point
championships
– in Pure
Stock, Factory
Modified,
Economy
Modified and
Modified – are
secure by any
means. In
fact. in each
class, the
third and
fourth place
drivers are in
a position to
overhaul the
leaders.
Muskogee
drivers Tim
Sands and
Randy Moses
lead the
Factory Stock,
with Sands on
top with 2,042
to Moses’
1,850. Their
lead appears
to be the
safest down
the stretch
with
Muskogee’s
Dale
Richardson
trailing the
leader by 279
points
(1,763).
Kerney Weaver,
Muskogee,
anchors fourth
at 1,727.
In the
Modified
Division, the
points chase
is likely to
go to the
season finale
on Oct. 7.
Gary Andrews,
Muskogee, has
a 35-point
edge over Mike
Withrow
(Muskogee),
2,037-2,002.
They are in
front of
another
Muskogeean,
Jared Russell
who has 1,796.
Muskogee’s
Kenny
Holdridge
holds fourth,
but if he is
to make a move
he must hope
that the three
leaders falter
badly –
something not
likely to
happen.
Holdridge has
1,537 markers.
There is going
to be a new
champion in
Economy
Modified with
the defender,
Porter’s, Carl
Conley stuck
in a distant
ninth with 969
points.
Muskogee
racers Heath
Weston and
Shannon
Reheard are
one-two at
2,092 and
1,953. Holding
third is
Oktaha’s
Curtis Whittle
with 1,787
with
Checotah’s
Bret Sexton in
hailing
distance at
1,725.
In Pure Stock,
Fort Gibson’s
Lynn Combs
continues to
be the leader
– 2,192 to
1,919 – over
Tahlequah’s
Jason Ward.
Brandon
Fields,
Checotah, is
third at 1,616
while
Stigler’s
Danny Russell
is fourth with
1,480.
