MUSKOGEE,
Okla. --
OUTLAW MOTOR
SPEEDWAY, 8
Miles South of
Muskogee,
Oklahoma & 11
Miles North of
I-40 on HWY 69
- The 2006
points battle
begins this
Saturday night
April 1st with
all five
classes
beginning the
race to the
championship.
This week's
Grand Marshal
is Wren
Stratton!
Welcome to
Outlaw Motor
Speedway Wren.
Muskogee's
Gary Andrews
looks to
defend his
three time
Modified title
against some
of the best
Modified
drivers in the
region. Andrews
has moved into
a tie for
second most
career wins at
Outlaw Motor
Speedway with
eight.
One of the
contenders
that pressed
Andrews to the
wire in 2004
and 2005 was
longtime foe Mike
"Fuzzy"
Withrow. Withrow
has been held
winless the
past two
seasons
despite
finishing
second in
points. Other
drivers to
keep an eye on
this season
are Muskogee
drivers Tate
Cole, Jarred
Russell, Dan
Morris, Kenny
Holdridge,
Heath
Weston, Tahlequah's
Jason Teague
and Kreg
Dobson,
Bixby's Steve
Lacy, Webb
City,
Missouri's
Terry Beckham
II, Ft.
Smith's Jerry
Thompson,
Tulsa's John
Potter, Rex
Merrit and
Gore's Brandon
Watts.
Muskgoee's Tim
Sands looks to
repeat as
Hobby Stock
champion after
holding off
Randy Moses II
and Dale
Richardson in
2005. Sands
has 10 career
wins as
Richardson
tied Kerney
Weaver with 13
for the most
after his win
last week.
Early
favorites for
the 2006 title
run are Sands,
Richardson,
Moses II,
Randy Moses
Sr., Porter
Johnson, Gary
Snyder and
Lynn Combs.
Shannon
Reheard of
Muskogee has
to be the
favorite for
this year's
Economy
Modified title
run after 2005
champ Heath
Weston moved
up to
Modified.
Reheard was
runner-up in
2005 despite
missing one
points race.
Porter's Carl
Conley II,
2003 and 2004
points
champion should
contend for
his once title
as well.
Morris's
Danny Womack, Otkaha's
Curtis
Whittle,
Checotah's
Bret Sexton,
Wagoner's
Jimmy Tye,
Muskogee's
Gary Ray
Andrews, David
Howell and
Glenpool's
Jake Kelly
should figure
into the race
for the
championship.
A new crop of
Pure Stock
drivers all
will have a
shot at the
2006 title but
there are a
few early
favorites.
Muskogee
drivers Brad
Wallis, who
took the first
Pure Stock win
of the season,
Bob Lewis,
Justin Sellars,
Vian's Danny
Cook,
Checotah's JC
Goddard and
Stigler's
Danny Russell
should be the
ones to place
your bet on
Saturday
nights.
Super Sprint
division

wide open
affair as new
names to the
Outlaw make
this their
home. Early
Favorites are
career wins

Goodman of
Tulsa (7
wins), Rose's
Jamie Passmore,
