World of Outlaws Late Model Series To Help American Red Cross At Baton Rouge Raceway

Norman, Oklahoma -- The World of Outlaws Late Model Series hasn’t forgotten the countless individuals from the state of Louisiana and surrounding Gulf coast states devastated by the impact of Hurricane Katrina. With thousands of people still displaced by the devastating storm the World of Outlaws Late Model Series has announced a fund raising effort for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund when the Series visits Baton Rouge Raceway in Baker (Baton Rouge), Louisiana March 17. One dollar of every gate admission from Round 1 of ‘The Bayou Battle 50” presented by RaceCoaches.com and O’Reilly Auto Parts will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

“What the people in Louisiana and long the Gulf coast have gone through the past seven months is beyond imagination”, said Bret Emrick, World of Outlaws Late Model Series PR Director. “We’ve all seen and heard the reports of the utter devastation that has happened to those folks. It’s been nearly seven months since Hurricane Katrina and help is still needed. Everyone one of us still has to help. Our prayers are certainly with those affected by this terrible tragedy.”

The $10,000 to win Round 1 of ‘The Bayou Battle 50’ presented by RaceCoaches.com and O’Reilly Auto Parts will unfold March 17 at Baton Rouge Raceway before heading north to Fast Trax Motorplex in Chatham (Monroe) Louisiana Macrh 18 for Round 2 of the ‘The Bayou Battle 50’ presented by RaceCoaches.com and O’Reilly Auto Parts.

At Baton Rouge Raceway, the pit gates open at 3:00p.m., spectator gates will open at 5:00p.m., warm-ups begin at 6:30p.m., time trials begin at 7:00p.m. and racing begins at 8:00p.m.

At Fast Trax Motorplex, the pit gates open at 3:00p.m., spectator gates will open at 5:00p.m., warm-ups begin at 5:30p.m., time trials begin at 6:00p.m. and racing begins at 7:00p.m.

WHERE
To get to Baton Rouge Raceway, take I-110 to exit 6, then go one mile east on SR 408, then 7.1 miles north on SR 67, then 0.4 miles west.

To get to Fast Trax Motorplex, go four miles southeast of Chatham, Louisiana on SR 4.

TICKETSTicket prices at Baton Rouge Raceway and at Fast Trax Motorplex are, $25.00 for adult general admission, $10.00 for youth ages 7 – 12, children 6 years of age and under are free. Pit admission is $30.00 for non-members and $25.00 for members.
