- Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart are tied for the lead in the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings (5-5) entering the August 2 Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.
- Drivers leading the most laps have scored FIVE WINS in the last six August races at Pocono and finished no worse than 10th-place in the last 10 events.
- A different driver has led the most laps in each of the past three consecutive August races at Pocono.
- The record for most laps led by a race winner at Pocono is 175 by Kurt Busch in the 2007 Pennsylvania 500 (August race).
- The record for most lead changes in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono is 55 in 1979 Pennsylvania 500 (August race).
- The record for most different leaders in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono is 16 (most recently in 2004 June race).
