N.Y.'s highest
court denies Sean "Diddy" Combs appeal.
(Albany, NY -
AP) - Diddy has to come up with the dough.
Today, New York state's highest court declined to
hear music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs' appeal of a
lower court decision ordering him to pay nearly
20,000 dollars a month in child support payments.
The hip-hop star was ordered last year to pay
ex-girlfriend Misa Hylton-Brim for the care of
their 12-year-old son Justin.
The order issued last year by the state's
Appellate Division came after Combs appealed a
Westchester Family Court ruling that he should pay
35,000 dollars a month. Hylton-Brim had sued for
higher monthly payments and nearly 400,000 dollars
in back support.
The appellate court later reduced the monthy
support amount to more than 19,000 dollars.
The 36-year-old Combs also pays child support to
model Kim Porter for their son, Christian.
