An out-of-the-box
phenomenon at retail,
DANITY KANE, which hit stores just two days ago,
sold nearly 90,000 units in its first day of
release, selling out at most stores across the
country. 'The formula works like this: Diddy,

debut album from Danity Kane, the red-hot
girl group featured on the hit MTV series,
Making the Band 3. The self-titled collection -
which features the first single, 'Show Stopper'

When Making the Band 3 returned for
Season Two, Diddy once again sent his team
(Laurie-Ann Gibson, Doc Holiday, and Johnny
Wright) across the country to audition new girls
for the group. Finally 18 girls were chosen and
moved into the NYC loft, with returning girls
Aubrey, Aundrea and Malika. The girls performed
in front of 20,000 at the Backstreet Boys
concert. There were two groups. Group one, named
"SHE", included Aubrey, Melissa, Denosh,
Jasmine, and Kelli. Group two, named "Chain 6",
Now included Aundrea, Dawn, Shannon, Wanita,
Dominique, and Taquita. During dress
rehearsal, group one was the favorite according
to Dave, Laurie Anne and Doc.

In Search For Next Band: Calling all
talented ladies, P Diddy is looking for you! In
the search for the next Making the Band,
Sean Combs
is in search for the best female talent. "If
you can sing like Beyonce and move like Britney,
he wants you!" MTV's Web site urges in a "Making
the Band" audition notice. "Don't disappoint the
Diddy." "Making the Band" throws together
talented - and, as required in reality TV, very
attractive - young people into a house, filming
them as they try to form a musical group. Also,
Combs Plane hit by lighting and more.

Combs Doubtful on New Band: Rap mogul Sean 'P Diddy' Combs
is so unimpressed with
the contestants on his reality show 'Making The
Band', he's considering making them all losers. Combs is
currently auditioning for a girl band in the third
season of his hit MTV show, but choreographer
Laurie Anne Gibson, who is in charge of artist
development on the series, believes the wannabes
are far from thrilling this time around. Gibson,
who has worked with such stars as Alicia Keys,
Usher, Mary J Blige and Missy Elliott, says.

Sean "P Diddy" Combs will continue
his MTV series "Making the Band 3,"
premiering March 3 at 10 p.m. ET.
This season's Making the Bad will
feature all females, as Combs is
looking for the next hott female
band. The
Girls will follow Comb's as he molds them into the
next big female band. The series will take
place in New York City loft between 19 females, as
Combs judges vocal, dancing and willingness to be
part of the band.
