Combs said of Ledger, "When I first arrived on set, the first person I saw was Heath Ledger. He kind of took me aside and was there for me. We didn't have to work the first day I was there, so me and him kind of hung out that day and kind of became acquaintances. He kind of pulled me to the side and told me to relax and gave me some pointers. That's just the kind of person he was. He always talked in a whisper and he always had a great energy about him."
Combs added he recently ran into Ledger, "I saw him a couple of weeks before he passed and we said that we were going to get together. That just goes to show you how short life is, but he truly will be missed."
Combs Encourages Youth to Vote on Super Tuesday: The artist, actor, designer, CEO Sean Combs has a simple message for the youth: GO VOTE. No "Vote or Die" slogan this election year, or atleast yet. Telling to The Associated Press, the youth has the power to change the direction of the country.
"If we want to stop the war, if we want to get the economy better, I think that young people need to understand they have to take matters into their own hands," Combs, 38, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Monday. "It is really like waking up a sleeping giant."
Combs, unlike 2004 did not endorse a candidate. "I didn't really want to get in the political game but I wanted to see young people become empowered," he said.
