Dawn Richards explains orgin of Danity Kane comic:Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard is a comic book geek, and her love of comic art led her to create her own character when she was in high school. "My teacher said, 'I'd like you to draw your alter ego. ... And I had been performing before all of this, and people would always say I was different onstage than I was in person," she explained about the inspiration behind Danity Kane Comics. "I had a lot of insecurities growing up. So does every kid. I never was insecure onstage. I always felt like that was home, so I created Danity Kane based on that. ... The character was always there. I just made the comic book so that people could see how she was created. She later described the story to her Danity Kane bandmates, and they named their group after it. "She's a woman out of this world," she told MTV News. (MTV.com)
Danity Kane is done? According to a report from MTV.com, Shannon Bex won't be on the show either, meaning the end of Danity Kane, as of right now. "As of right now, [Danity Kane doesn't exist]," Dawn Richard told MTV this week. "It's devastating for me." According to Dawn, the show will consist of herself and Aundrea trying to "pick of the pieces" by themselves, but in the end, they can't do it. "You'll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] -- pieces that we didn't even make," she explained. "We didn't even break it and we're trying to sweep it up ourselves. Puff invited all the girls to come back on this season and they chose not to. Only two of us showed up. That's fine if that's the choice. "It changes [our situation] completely," Dawn continued. "We have fans out there who love Danity Kane. We love Danity Kane. It's hard. We're sitting here trying to make sense of it now. It's hard. We're put in this position that we didn't ask to be in and we're being told to fix it." (BallerStatus)
