Weekly Interview: How much bearing did the public vote actually
have on the process?
DIDDY: It definitely had a lot of bearing on
Donnie getting a solo deal. The numbers on him were astronomical.
So you announced that
Jamaica is the new choreographer tonight. When will we see her with the
band?
Diddy: Well, it's between Jamaica and another
cat Jamal — they're both splitting it because they're both busy. You're
talking about two of the busiest choreographers in the game. (Much more

Diddy Signs Donnie:
Donnie Klang may have lost the battle but plans to win the war. The
22-year-old from Levittown failed to make the final cut on the season
finale last week of MTV's "Making the Band 4," but couldn't be ignored
after he took the lead as fan favorite on MTV.com. That pushed the
show's producer Sean "P. Diddy" Combs to sign him to his label, Bad Boy
Records, anyway. "There was a good 20 seconds in between when they
announced the band and called my name," Klang said of the live season
finale in Times Square. "I kept thinking about my mom and my family and
how upset they were going to be…I had come so close." (NY

How is it determined?
Top 58 males from all over the US are given tickets to New York. Then
20 will be hand picked by Diddy and celebrity judges. The 20 will then
compete throughout the season for the R&B group.
Making the Band 4
Finalist listed? There is some speculation that the finalist of
Making the Band 4 are being listed on the Making the Band 4 MySpace page
under friends.
Diddy on Making the
Band's past success: "Danity Kane [Making the Band 3] just went
platinum," Sean "Diddy" Combs says. "I think that's a huge success. I'd
say over 80 percent of the industry doesn't go gold or platinum on
their first album. And to be honest, I think domestically, Danity Kane
sold more albums than I did. ... One of the hardest things in the music
industry is to break a new group."
Making the Band 4 Finale:
