Diddy's Band Make It?:
While episodes of the TV show have shown Aubrey
struggling with having her parts cut from a track
produced by Brian Michael Cox, all five girls
contribute to "Show Stopper." "It's a great, fun
single and you get a chance to hear all of our
vocals on the track," Shannon said a recent
listening party hosted by their mentor, Diddy.
(The bouncy club track can also be heard on their
MySpace page.) She added that Yung Joc is
featured on the single, but he's the only guest on
their album. "[Diddy] wanted this album to
focus on us and not have a whole bunch of people
to cover it up, so they can get to know us
personally," Shannon said.

lessons, and Diddy singles out Shannon for extra

Danity Kane performs MTB 3 season
finale: The girls of
MTV's 'Making The Band 3' performed live for the
first time as Danity Kane Monday evening under the
Brooklyn Bridge in N.Y. Diddy hosted the event,
held at the Empire Fulton Ferry State Park, where
he proclaimed that "New York crowds are the
toughest." The group opened with their first
single, 'Show Stopper,' and then offered three
more songs, more at

Performance Anxieties; Before a gig at an NBA party, the girls
face such non-musical issues as their weight,
their wardrobe, and their speaking voices: Okay, first, before we get to the episode, a
couple of things about names. Last week on TRL,
the Making the Band 3 ladies announced their
group's name: Danity Kane. Really? That's the
name? That's worse than Dream. That's worse than
the WB's Popstars band, Eden's Crush. (Well, maybe
not.) Danity Kane is apparently the name of a
female anime superhero Dawn draws.

''Making the Band,'' the five winners hit New
Orleans, where they tour Dawn's flood-damaged
neighborhood and then party like rock stars
Sweet Honey Bunches of Oats, the band has finally
been made! After what felt like an eternity of
tears, dance-offs, and injuries, Diddy finally
selected the ladies for his yet-unnamed band:
Aubrey, Aundrea, Dawn, Shannon, and Wanita. And
while I'm a little sad that my favorite competitor
from last season, Dominique, got the boot, I can
live with the decision knowing that Aubrey and

Band announces
name Danity Kane: Diddy's Making the
Band 3 Girl group, announced Wednesday (June 14)
on MTV's TRL: Totally Request Live that their name
for the all female group is DANITY KANE. The
unique name derived from a fictional anime
character drawn up by singer Dawn. Diddy
says, the the band represents "five superheroes;

Official Finally, June 15: MTV announced that it will
introduce a new programming block for Thursday
nights which will premiere on Thursday, June 15th.
The new line-up will feature the return of some of
MTV's hugely successful and highly anticipated
series: Making The Band 3, Run's House and Pimp My
Ride. In addition, MTV will close out the premiere
of the new block with a one-hour Yo Momma special
at 10:30pm. Beginning on Thursday, June 22nd
viewers will see an encore airing of Jamie
Kennedy's Blowin' Up in the 10:30pm slot. All
shows on the new Thursday night line-up will
feature multi-platform elements that will drive
fans between MTV, MTV.com, MTV On Demand and MTV
Overdrive. Making The Band 3: Season 3
-Thursdays at 9:00pm ET/PT - Now in its third
season, the series continues to chronicle Sean
"Diddy" Combs applying his "golden touch" as he
works with the five girls he chose to be in his
all new girl pop group. This season, watch as
Aubrey, Aundrea, Wanita, Dawn and Shannon get used
to being in the band, learn to work together,
record their first album, prepare to go on tour
and live in a brand new loft in New York City's
Soho. Diddy is guaranteed to put a whole bunch of
new challenges to keep his elite group of ladies
in line. To get fans up to speed on all the
happenings from last season there will be a 5 1/2
hour marathon on Saturday, June 10th beginning at
2:00pm. During the marathon viewers will be able
