In 1994,The Bad Boy Family started as one of the greatest teams
ever lived. They started doing remixes with Jodeci, they thought that
they were on to something. In 2002,they Invented The Remix,
using songs that they did over again, but with different people.
Bad Boy's did a good job on the remixes.

The selection of songs is good, the fact that need a girl part 2 comes
before part 1 is because part 2 is just a better song, still i do agree
it is quite dumb..! What i feel is more dumb is the comment below of
some girl called Katerina... omg.. laughing my head off at her
comments, "Maybe if P.Diddy saw this".. "Could i have this number"...
"Im 13".. "I just want a record deal", truley degrading intelligence in
the US, oh well, when us Europeans dominate the world ull see...

This album is HOT! P Diddy/Puff Daddy/Puffy is one of the most noteable
producers in R&B/Hip Hop history. He did not invent the actual
remix phenomenon, but he did come up with the concept of the modern day
hip hop remix. Ever hear Murder Inc remixes? or Desert Storm mixes?
Guess who they're copying? That's right, Sean Combs! His first remix
came out with Jodecei, a male R&B group which was the first group
under his label. He definatly new talent. The only problem on this
album is that with all his talk in the beginning about starting hip hop
remixes, there is nothing from the early 90's on here! Bad Boy should
have at leased put in one or two remixes in order to support their
claims. Nonetheless this CD is chock full of hits. "I Need A Girl"
parts I and II are the bomb. Whomever says P Diddy is a weak rapper,
believe me...there are worse. Loon is a newcomer on the scene and does
pretty well. If you listen closely to "I Need A Girl" Part I you'll
notice a sense of sadness in Combs' voice. "I love you girl and you're
the one that I will always miss." He feels sorry and guilty. But knows
they can never be together again. Notorious BIG is featured in the
haunting remix of "Foolish" by Ashanti called "Unfoolish." The lyrics
are better in my opinion. The original sounded more like "Hey I'm a
little girl and can't stand up for myself so I'm going to keep running
back to you." This version however is more of a state of independence.
Also, Biggie's rap is great just like him. "Dance With Me" isn't really
the whole song, just Beanie Siegle's part, which flows nicely into the
Euro-tinged "Peaches N Cream" remix which has got to be the best 112
remix out there. "No More Drama" is not the same as the original.
Rather, it's different beats and lyrics. After some years apart, Blige
and Combs come together in one of my favorite R&B songs to date.
Mary's vocals are at her best and so are Combs' raps. I think this
should have been released as a single. Another highlight is the
brilliant remix of Faith Evan's "You Get's No Love"...featuring a
sample of "Sweet Dreams" which suprisingly works! She also contributes
a vocal brige to the original Eurythmics song, but a different spinoff
lyric-wise. Overall, "We Invented The Remix" is for *true* Hip Hop
fans. This is a reason why Bad Boy is for life. Combs' company will go
down in history as one of the best in it's class...paving a way for
other Hip Hop company's to follow. Great job Puffy and good luck in the
future.

Being the East Coast fanatic that I am. (Hey, even 2Pac was from
Brooklyn. Give it up.) And the serious Bad Boy lover that i am, i had
to buy this LP the day it was released. I wish i hadn't. There were
some really good tracks, such as Reverse, which blended the raw talent
of the now incarcerated Shyne and the Dangerous Neck Breakah Busta
Rhymes, with the added bonus of Cee-Lo and G-Dep, Sauce Money and
others, and the somewhat acclaimed single P.E. 2000, and of course, the
Gangsta...track which contained excerpts from Scarface. But the rest of
the album was all filler and no thriller. Puffy just couldn't live up
to the expectations he'd set for himself after the pretty much all raw
talent we saw on No Way Out. The sophmore jitters claim yet another MC.
Sorry Puff. The Verdict's In: This LP should've never seen the light of
day.
